Seoul Girls' High School is a high school in Mapo district, Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1958 as Mapo Girls' High School, and took its present name in 1960. The school was divided into separate junior high and high schools in 1968. Noted alumni include singer Chae Ri Na (b. 1977). Mapo-gu is a gu, or district, within Seoul, South Korea. It lies northwest of the Han River. Several universities and government buildings are located here. Mapo is especially well-known for the Hongdae club district around Hongik University.
