White is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Previously, she was a judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals. Born in Jackson Heights, Queens in New York City, White graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from Barnard College in 1975 and the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1978.
