Belarus has developed a draft strategy to attract foreign direct investment up to 2035, which envisages doubling their volume on a net basis up to $3 billion by 2025. To this end, investment legislation will be improved, and administrative procedures for business will be simplified. Work on attraction of foreign investments and promotion of Belarusian investment potential abroad should be stepped up using various instruments, including economic days in Belarus, investment forums, conferences, and meetings with businessmen. Such areas as high-tech and science-intensive production, logistics, transport and digital infrastructure, financial sector, social sphere - through public-private partnership projects - are considered as promising for attracting foreign direct investment into the Belarusian economy. It is planned to form a package of additional preferences for creation of industrial micro, small and medium enterprises by domestic business and foreign investors on the territory of districts with difficult economic situation. This is the subject of the proposed study.
