Consuelo Pauline O'Brien O'Connor Crespi (May 31, 1928 – October 18, 2010) was an American-born Italian countess who served the world of high fashion as a style-setting model and editor of Vogue Italia. During the same period, her twin sister Gloria Schiff was a major influence on fashion as editor for the American edition of Vogue magazine. She was also a member of the International Best Dressed List since 1959. She was born on May 31, 1928, in Larchmont, New York, with her twin sister later assuming the married name of Gloria Schiff. She grew up in Nova Scotia and was spotted as a potential model when she moved back to New York with her mother and sister, appearing on the cover of Look magazine in 1945 and was introduced to society as a débutante in 1947. She met Count Rodolfo (Rudi) Crespi (1924-1985), son of Count Rodolfo Crespi (1874-1939) and Countess Marina Crespi, on a blind date in a New York City restaurant. They were married three months later, on January 22, 1948, in a ceremony held at Church of St. Ignatius Loyola on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
