Gregory Alan Lewis (born August 10, 1969) is a former professional American football running back who played two seasons for the Denver Broncos. Lewis was an All-American and Pac 10 offensive player of the year in 1990 at the University of Washington. He was the inaugural winner of the Doak Walker Award given to college football's most outstanding running back. American football is a sport played between two teams of eleven with the objective of scoring points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. Known in the United States simply as football, it may also be referred to informally as gridiron football.
