Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Loch Killin is a small loch in the Monadhliath Mountains, in Highland, Scotland. It is about 1.2 miles long, and is one of numerous small lochs close to the southern end of Loch Ness, the southernmost point of which lies nine miles to the west. The ship HMS Loch Killin was named after the loch. Loch is the Irish and Scottish Gaelic term for a lake or a sea inlet. It has been anglicised as lough, although this is pronounced the same way as loch. Some lochs could also be called a firth, fjord, estuary, strait or bay. Sea-inlet lochs are often called sea lochs or sea loughs.
