Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. QP is a family of very lightweight, open-source, state machine frameworks for embedded processors, microcontrollers, and DSPs. The QP frameworks enable developing event-driven real-time embedded software consisting of concurrently executing UML state machines. QP frameworks have been primarily designed for manual coding in C or C++, but are also an excellent target for automatic code generation. The QP frameworks are described in detail in the book Practical UML Statecharts in C/C++, Second Edition: Event-Driven Programming for Embedded Systems. QP can work with or without a traditional operating system or Real-Time Operating System. In the standalone configuration, QP can completely replace a traditional RTOS.
