Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Horseshoe Lake is a lake located in the eastern part of Lassen Volcanic National Park near Juniper Lake, in Shasta County, California. The lake lies at an elevation of 6,550 ft (1,996 m). Water from Horseshoe Lake drains to Snag Lake via Grassy Creek. The lake is accessible by hiking trail only.A lake is a body of relatively still fresh or salt water of considerable size, localized in a basin, not to be confused with a lagoon, that is surrounded by land. Lakes are inland and not part of the ocean, and are larger and deeper than ponds. Lakes can be contrasted with rivers or streams, which are usually flowing. However most lakes are fed and drained by rivers and streams.
