This comparative study of the 'World of Children' created by Ruskin Bond, recipient of Padma Bhushan and Padma Shree and an internationally known Indian writer writing in English and Prakash Narayan Sant, an Indian writer writing in Marathi, offers insights not merely into the texts of their stories but also disparate cultures, societies, ideologies and concerns. It also brings to light the efforts of these two writers to inculcate values among children at a very early age as well as the role of adults, especially grandparents, in the lives of children to steer safely through life. The writers' excellent understanding of children and child psychology belonging to the 'middle and late childhood' is the focus of this study which is sure to make the bond with these two Childhood Chums stronger.
