The 19th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (or 19th OVI) was an infantry regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The 19th Ohio Infantry organized at Cleveland, Ohio in April and May 1861 in response to President Lincoln's call for 75,000 volunteers. The regiment moved to Columbus, Ohio on May 27 and mustered in on May 29, to date from April 27, 1861, under the command of Colonel Samuel Beatty. The regiment was recruited in Ashtabula, Columbiana, Geauga, Mahoning, Mahoning, Stark, and Trumbull counties.
