This study’s content is organized into two chapters that cover issues studied gradually from general to particular and from theory to the applied, following the dynamics of this sector support and guiding the following coordinates: to reveal the state of knowledge concerning the definition of SMEs worldwide and to highlight differences between those disparities, in terms of economic developments in order to understand the mechanisms that underlie state sector and the particular role in achieving economic growth, ensuring socio-economic stability; the presentation of arguments that success, not just the economy but also of Romania in the EU, it depends on policy makers to promote the knowledge, creativity and entrepreneurship through a consistent legislative approach to support development of SMEs.
