Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Michaela Gerg-Leitner (born November 10, 1965 in Lenggries) is a retired German alpine skier. Alpine skiing (or downhill skiing) is the sport of sliding down snow-covered hills on skis with fixed-heel bindings. Alpine skiing can be contrasted with skiing using free-heel bindings: Ski mountaineering and nordic skiing – such as cross-country; ski jumping; and Telemark. Alpine skiing may take place at a ski resort where mechanical ski lifts have been installed to transport skiers up the mountain and where snow is groomed, avalanches are controlled and trees are cut to create trails.
