Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Kraków Old Town is the central, historic district of Kraków, Poland. It is the most prominent example of an Old Town in the country, because for many centuries, Kraków was the royal capital of Poland, until Sigismund III Vasa relocated the court to Warsaw in 1596. Kraków's historic center was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1978. The Old Town is known in Polish as Stare Miasto. It is part of the city's first administrative district, which is also named "Stare Miasto", although it covers a wider area than the Old Town itself.
