Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. HMS Banshee was one of three Banshee-class destroyers which served with the Royal Navy. She was launched on 17 November 1894 at the Laird, Son and Co shipyard, Birkenhead, and served most of her time in the Mediterranean. Banshee was sold off in 1912. The Royal Navy of the United Kingdom is the oldest of HM Armed Forces (and is therefore known as the Senior Service). From the beginning of the 18th century until well into the 20th century it was the most powerful navy in the world, playing a key part in establishing the British Empire as the dominant world power from 1815 until the early 1940s.
