The present study is aimed to develop floating, pulsatile, multiparticulate drug delivery system intended for chronopharmacotherapy in arthritis. Cross-linked beads were prepared by using low methoxylated pectin, sodium alginate, low methoxylated pectin + Sodium alginate and low methoxylated pectin + deacetylated gellan by acid- base reaction during ionotropic gelation. Beads were dried in oven at 500 degree Cenntigrate for 4hr. Aceclofenac was used as a model drug for encapsulation. Drug loaded multiparticulates were subjected to various characterization and evaluation parameters like entrapment efficiency, buoyancy study, surface topography.
