Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Archiephestia is a genus of snout moths. It was described by Amsel, in 1955, and contains the species A. adpiscinella.[1] It was described from North Africa, but is also known from Spain. The wingspan is 6.5-10.5 mm.The Pyralidae or snout moths are a family of Lepidoptera in the ditrysian superfamily Pyraloidea. In many (particularly older) classifications, the grass moths (Crambidae) are included in the Pyralidae as a subfamily, making the combined group one of the largest families in the Lepidoptera. The latest review by Munroe & Solis, in Kristensen (1999) retains the Crambidae as a full family of pyraloidea.
