Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Usability goals, also called usability requirements, are objective criteria used to measure the usability of a system through usability evaluation methods. All usability goals for a specific system in a specific context of use are not at the same level. Usability goals can be defined and therefore measured in a qualitative and/or quantitative way. Data gathering methods are chosen according to the defined usability goals. For instance, verbal protocol analysis or questionnaires could be used to measure qualitative goals while time measurement or keystroke analysis or error rate quantification could be used to measure for quantitative usability goals.
