Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. An Overseas Indonesian is a person of Indonesian origin who lives outside of Indonesia. This term applies to people of Indonesian birth and descent who are citizens or residents of temporary status. Most archaeologists estimate that the human settlement of Madagascar happened between 200 and 500 A.D., when seafarers from Indonesia (probably from Kalimantan or the southern Sulawesi) arrived in outrigger sailing canoes. The influence of Indonesian culture is still strongly felt in Madagascar, especially in Madagascar language.
