Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Benjamin Davies was an English footballer. Davies played for Wellington St. George and Crewe Alexandra before joining Port Vale in October 1929. He kept a clean sheet in his first game; a draw at South Shields on 2 November 1929, and won the #1 jersey off Jack Prince to become the regular keeper for most of the next three years. He was behind the sticks for the 1929–1930 Football League Third Division North winning season, however lost his place in August 1932 and was given a free transfer in May 1933.
