With the increasing use of knowledge management
technologies for collaborative work, organizations
must recognize how to evaluate individual
performance. User evaluations of information systems
are frequently used as measures of management
information system (MIS) success, since it is
extremely difficult to get objective measures of
system performance.
This book is aimed at clarifying certain
organizational factors and information technology
how affecting knowledge management adoption and
explaining how organizations can manage knowledge
with system.
On another hand, the purpose of this book has to be
broad enough to cover the interesting KM concepts,
frames, theories and example of KM. The content is
presented with an empirical example for enhancing
academic and practical implications. Therefore, this
book was complemented by a knowledge management
study as base.
This book also takes an example about the special
characteristics of the knowledge management system
(KMS) and task into a research model and extends the
theory of task technology fit with concepts from Fit-
Appropriation Model by investigating the task and
related KMS characteristics.
