James Allen (born March 28, 1975 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma) is a former American football running back for the Chicago Bears, rushing for over 1100 yards in 2000, before being displaced as starter by Anthony Thomas. He caught a Hail Mary pass from Shane Matthews that was tipped by David Terrell to tie a game against the Cleveland Browns in 2001. He then played for the Houston Texans. American football is a sport played between two teams of eleven with the objective of scoring points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. Known in the United States simply as football, it may also be referred to informally as gridiron football.
