Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Edhem Pasha (1851; Trabzon-1909; Constantinople (Istanbul)) was an Ottoman commander. He was the deputy of Gazi Osman Pasha during the siege of Plevna in 1877. He was the leading commander of the Ottoman army that defeated Greeks in Thessaly in the Greco-Turkish War (1897) (especially Battle of Dömeke/Domochos Turkish: Dömeke Harbi). He captured Yenişehir (Larissa) and Tırhala (Trikala) again but European states intervened because of the danger that Turks again could capture the rest of Morea. As a result, The Greco Turkish War of 1897 resulted a stalemate despite the Turkish military victory.
