Tel Aviv Central Bus Station, known as the New Central Bus Station (Hatakhana Hamerkazit Hahadasha) is the main bus station of Tel Aviv, Israel. It is the second largest central bus station in the world, covering 230,000 m² and a total area of 44 dunams (44,000 m²) Located in the south of the city, it opened on August 18, 1993.Construction began on December 14, 1967, but work was prematurely halted due to financial difficulties. The building was finally completed in August 1993. The complex includes a shopping mall serviced by 29 escalators and 13 elevators with over 1,000 shops and restaurants. Only three of the seven floors are used as a bus terminal.
