Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The European People's Party, abbreviated to EPP, is a pro-European centre-right European political party. The EPP was founded in 1976 by Christian democratic parties, but later it increased its membership to include conservative parties and parties of other centre-right perspectives. The EPP is the largest party represented in each of the institutions of the European Union, and also the largest in the Council of Europe. It has 73 member parties from 39 countries, with 17 EU and 6 non-EU heads of state and government, 13 European Commissioners (including the President), the President of the European Council, and the largest group in the European Parliament with 264 members.
