She has won the Australian Open and the New Zealand National Championships. She will represent Australia in archery at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Barnard was born 25 May 1993 in Sydney, Australia. She attended MLC School in New South Wales for both primary and secondary education. Her father is Jonathan Barnard. He is the president of Sydney Olympic Park Archery. He was accused of intimidating another Australian archer, Odette Snazelle, during competitions.
