Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Beryozovskaya GRES is a coal fired power plant near the town of Sharypovo in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. The installed capacity of the plant is 1,550 MW. Its flue gas stack is 370 metres tall and the tallest free-standing structure in Russia outside Moscow area. It is also the fourth tallest chimney in the world. The primary role of the power plant is to settle down the deficit of electricity during winter period. In other seasons the average load of Beryozovskaya GRES is below half of its capacity since the Central Siberian region uses several more efficient hydro power plants.
