The 116th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (or 116th OVI) was an infantry regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The 116th Ohio Infantry was organized Marietta and Gallipolis, Ohio and mustered in September 18, 1862 for three years service under the command of Colonel James Washburn. Companies F and K mustered in October 28, 1862, and joined regiment at Buckhannon, Virginia. The regiment was attached to Railroad Division, West Virginia, to January 1863.
